Back on the field after missing three games due to injury, Lamar Jackson was injured again on the first play of the game. This time it will require surgery. Could it get any worse? Back-up Tyler Huntley soon left the game with a toe issue.
Jackson dropped back in the pocket but was then hit on his throwing thumb by Buffalo Bills linebacker/edge rusher Greg Rousseau. Jackson couldn’t get his hand out of the way in time and left the game immediately.
After Huntley left the game, rookie quarterback Joe Fagnano (Utah) came in and finished the day 10/21 for 91 yards, with no TDs and one INT.

Baltimore lost 36-10 and dropped to 4-4 with the road loss. It was their third straight loss without Jackson, and now the Ravens sit last in the AFC North.
With Lamar Jackson out and needing surgery, the Ravens — a team predicted to compete for the division title — are in their toughest spot since 2021 when they posted an 8-9 record and didn’t make the playoffs.
Baltimore won’t get much time to fix what ails them. With a quick turnaround, the Ravens face the 5-2 Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football at 7:15 PM in Baltimore on Amazon Prime Video.
