Jeremiah Fennel, the 11-Year-Old Reporter

, ,

Jeremiah Fennel is a name we shall see down the road.

Jeremiah was born as a ‘miracle baby,’ diagnosed with multiple health issues in utero. Doctors told his mother he might not live, but he did.

Early on, Jeremiah gained a love for sports, and with the Super Bowl being in Vegas (Jeremiah’s hometown), the NFL granted him tickets. That’s because the NFL was aware of his work and granted him access to major Raiders football games this past season as a sideline reporter.

Granted full access to Super Bowl 58, Jeremiah interviewed many game stars, including Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Brock Purdy, Christian McCaffrey, and George Kittle. Jeremiah inteviewed Andy Reid, too.

Jeremiah’s dream one day is to win a sports Emmy for journalism. I, for one, believe he will accomplish that dream.

About Matthew Paris

I grew up an avid Houston sports fan. After graduating from Texas Tech University in Theater and English Literature I worked as a marketing rep and coach for I9 Sports, coaching baseball, flag football, soccer, and basketball. I’m currently with Austin Sports Academy as a marketing coordinator, baseball and football coach, and coordinator of middle school and high school open play nights. I’ve written three short films for Looknow Productions and have also written articles on film marketing, producing, and directing. I really enjoy writing about sports and being an active contributor to The Sports Column.
