I’m 6-4 after two rounds, so I’m looking to make a clean sweep (and go 8-4) with this weekend’s conference championship picks.
NFC Championship (3 p.m. Eastern, FOX): PHI over SF – Hurts is healthy, and Shanny falls short (again).
AFC Championship (approx. 6:30 p.m., CBS): KC over CIN – Yes, I know Burrow is 3-0 vs. Mahomes, but KC’s offense is solid, and its D is better than most think.
(NOTE: The NFC game is first only because it’s their turn, not because of any status/prestige thing. The conferences alternate start times. But long ago, championship games were scheduled for 12:30p. and 4 p., with the order determined by the game locations.)

Veteran Ravens correspondent Joe Platania is in his 45th year in sports media (including two CFL seasons when Batlimore had a CFL team) in a career that extends across parts of six decades. He is also a four-time Maryland-Delaware-District of Columbia Press Association award winner.
