Goodbye Cristiano, Hello ManU’s Formidable Midfield

,

Christian Eriksen, Casemiro, and Bruno Fernandes: What a midfield!

That’s the midfield Erik Ten Hag started in Tuesday’s clash with Nottingham Forest on December 27th. Eriksen’s exceptional playmaking, coupled with Casemiro’s defensive tenacity and assorted skill set, is dangerous enough. Then add Bruno Fernandes, who has bagged 28 goals and 18 assists in the Premier League over the past two full seasons, and this midfield can easily reach legendary status.

It’s a refreshing change from the drama surrounding Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit from the club. Manchester United will recover, and an outstanding midfield is one reason why.

So, keep an eye on this trio of Eriksen, Casemiro, and Fernandes. ManU is 9-2-4 (29 points, 5th in the Premier table) going into the New Year’s Eve game vs. the Wolves.
