Ella Bresee, sister of Clemson football star Bryan Bresee, passes away.

Bryan Bresee is an All-Star defensive tackle for the college football team Clemson Tigers. Now a sophomore, Bresee was named the ACC Defensive Rookie of The Year and is also a two-time USA Today All-America. Bryan is also a grieving brother.

Ella Bresee, like Bryan, loved sports, basketball especially. Eighteen months ago, she started complaining about severe headaches. Her primary care physician referred her to a neurologist, and Ella passed all of the recommended tests. But she still wasn’t right. Further testing discovered that she suffered from medulloblastoma and that a brain tumor had spread to the back of her brain.
Surgery followed, combined with third rounds of radiation and over four months of chemo. Ella’s goal was to return to school and play for her high school basketball team. She never gave up hope.
Sadly, though, the disease had progressed too far, and Ella Bresee, 15, of Urbana, Maryland, passed away on September 15, 2022. In announcing her death, Ella’s family said, “The past 15 years have been the best years of our life because we had you as our life.”
