Alex Bregman’s record-breaking homer was the Game 2 difference.

The Astros are in their sixth straight ALCS, and Houston’s third baseman, Alex Bregman, made his 78th playoff in Thursday night’s Game 2 versus the New York Yankees. Bregman entered the game with 39 playoff RBIs.

He added to that number in the third inning when he hit a three-run home run into the left-field Crawford boxes.

The homer–Bregman’s 13th all-time playoff home run, the most in history for a third baseman–put the Astros up 3-0.

Bregman also ranks #5 on the Astros’ all-time home run list. Jose Altuve has the most playoff home runs in Astros history with 23 homers.

Now it’s on to New York for Saturday’s Game Three in this seven-game series. You can watch the action on TBS starting at 5:07p Eastern Time.
