Victories came at the Vizag International Open FIDE Rapid & Blitz Rating Chess Tournament conducted by All Visakha Chess Association at Swarna Bharathi, Indoor Stadium, Viza, India.

The inaugural event saw over 450 players participate across age and rating categories. The tournaments were conducted in a 9-round fashion, with six rounds on Saturday followed by three rounds on Sunday. The Rapid event was conducted in 20 Min. + 5 Sec. increment from the first move and the Blitz event was conducted as a 9-round event with 3 Min. + 2 Sec. increment.
With a rating of 1164 in the Rapid category, Pranav secured wins against seasoned players with higher ratings. He won games against Prasad M.V.S (1945 rating), AIM Mohammed Shamil A (1508 rating), and Soumma Chakraborty (1668 rating). Mithun also drew against Siva Kumar Badireddy (1496 rating).
