Tom Brady in Miami? It Could Have Happened and Still Might

, , , ,

Owner Stephen Ross is at the center of this story.

Just a few months ago, on February 1, to be specific, Tom Brady announced his retirement from the NFL. Former Miami head coach Brian Flores filed a lawsuit the same day. In that suit, Flores claims that Dolphins’ owner Stephen Ross wanted him to tamper with another team’s quarterback. The supposed meeting with that QB was to have taken place on Ross’s yacht.

The QB wasn’t named in the lawsuit. But now rumors are swirling that he was none other than TB 12.

According to those rumors. Brady went to Miami and met with Ross on his yacht. The two talked about the possibility of Brady playing in Miami and becoming a minority owner of the team. In the mix of speculation, Brady wanted a coach he could trust, one who would allow him to call plays. That coach, supposedly, was New Orleans’ head coach, Sean Payton. While that assertion is speculative, it is known that the Dolphins reached out to the Saints about Payton.

What happened in the end? Rumors say that Flores’s lawsuit derailed plans. Brady concluded that playing in 2022 required him to return to the Buccaneers. Still, though, other rumors have it that could eventually wind up in (you guessed it) a Dolphins uniform.

Time will tell how this all shakes out. But what we know for sure is this: more details will come out as the Flores lawsuit moves forward and reporters keep digging into the story.
