Doral, FL resident April Sulwer received a new air conditioning unit and installation free of charge.

The Miami Dolphins invited the Sulwer family to attend training camp practice on “Salute to Service Day.” Upon returning home, the family was greeted with a surprise by officials representing the Dolphins, USO, and Air Pros USA. It was a new A/C unit. April’s husband, Dustin, also a U.S. military veteran (as is April), wanted to make sure that the new unit was kept a surprise.

April Sulwer: This beautiful surprise! We are thankful for this blessing and really appreciate everyone for helping us out. We are thankful to God, Air Pros USA, Miami Dolphins, and USO for taking care of us.

The Sulwar gift is just one of many ways that Air Pros USA gives back to the community, said Air Pros USA founder Anthony Perera. Recently, the company distributed backpacks full of food to 120 food-insecure youngsters living in SW Florida. On the Sulwer’s, the company worked with the Miami Dolphins Football UNITES™ program. “We hope the Sulwer family will enjoy this new energy-efficient A/C unit,” Perera said, “and know that we are truly honored to serve them.” And it’s not the first time that Air Pros USA and the Dolphins have teamed up to surprise a deserving family with one of its A/C units.

As before, RaShauna Hamilton, Miami Dolphins Senior Director of Community Relations & Youth Programs, is pleased to be a partner. “We are excited to partner with Air Pros USA once again for this wonderful opportunity to spread cheer as we continue our efforts to honor the active military members and veterans of our community,” she said. “With the help of USO through our Football UNITES™ program, we were able to identify a deserving family and provide them with what we hope will be a memorable experience for years to come.”

UNITES™ and the USO selected April Sulwer because of what she has accomplished during and after her military service.

Sulwer retired recently after 20 years of service in the U.S. Army. Holding a B.S. in Computer Security and M.A. in Human Services Counseling, she is active in community volunteer work, including devoting time to local animal shelters and in disaster relief efforts.

USO Southeast Regional Development Manager Amy Leuschke joined in the praise. “As a proud veteran, loving mother, and passionate community volunteer, April has always been dedicated to helping others, and it was time that she is recognized for her contributions.”
