Three Things Timberwolves Can Do to Get Better

,

…and Minnesota needs to get better.

Trade For Ben Simmons: Send Malik Beasley with Jarret Culver, Naz Reid, Jared Vanderbilt, and Jaden McDaniels, and get Ben Simmons. Over the past few weeks, the Philly fan base has made it clear that they no longer want Simmons on the roster. Getting him will cost losing Minnesota’s young core, but the T-Wolves would get a defensive stopper and a fast break scorer with the ability to drive and draw out the defense.

Sign DeMar Derozan: Derozan is coming off another good, efficient season, putting up 21.6 ppg with 4.2 rebounds and 6.9 assists (career-high). He would fit perfectly with the duo of D’Angelo Russell and Karl Antony Towns. Derozan has the ability to push the tempo and create his own shot, alleviating the pressure of the shoulders of DLO and Towns. He can play forward or guard, and he can handle the ball if one of your point guards goes down. He is versatile, able to kill from midrange, and drive with gracefulness.

Sign Derrick Rose: Rose is currently averaging 14.7 points per game with 2.6 rebounds and 4.2 assists. He is a good point guard with a lot of experience in the league, and he can make vital contributions off the bench. This veteran can bring the heat offensively, and he has also proven himself in the playoffs. Rose would also be an outstanding player to mentor Antony Edwards.
