In a league with talent galore, it is increasingly difficult for a single player to propel her team to a win.

That’s what happened last Saturday when the New York Liberty squared off against the Atlanta Dream. NY’s Michaela Onyenwere’s 29 points weren’t enough as Atlanta’s Courtney Williams tallied 31 points in the Dream’s 3-point OT win.

With the win (fourth straight), the Dream now ranks 4th in the WNBA power rankings. Next up (Friday, 8p. tip) is a road game vs. the Minnesota Lynx.

As for the Liberty, another challenge looms as Onyenwere (May’s Rookie Of The Month) squares off tonight against Dearica Hamby (two-time Sixth Woman of the Year). NY hosts the Las Vegas Aces at 7 p.m.
