Dream Rallies Without Carter, Tops Mystics

Dream wins behind Williams, Sims, and Hayes. The rematch is scheduled for tonight.

Last Sunday, Atlanta beat a good Washington team. 101-78, behind Courtney Williams 21 points, Odyssey Sims’s 20 points, and Tiffany Hayes’s 18 points and team-high six assists. The Dream needed those contributions to overcome the loss of Chennedy Carter, who is recovering from an injured elbow.

But another challenge lies ahead this evening as Atlanta and Washington go at it again.

For Atlanta, it means controlling the trio of Tina Charles, the WNBA’s leading scorer at 24 points per game, Ariel Atkins, who recently scored 29 points against the Las Vegas Aces and 20 points versus the Connecticut Sun, and Myisha Hines-Allen, who has scored in double digits in the last six of seven games, including a double-double (32 points and 13 rebounds) earlier this month against the Aces.

Game-time is set for 7p. tonight at the Entertainment and Sports Arena in Washington D.C.
