999 Racing, Part Three: Goodbye and Good Riddance (An Original Script, Scene Three)

, ,

Scene Three opens with Jarad and Starfire in her dorm room, soon after the first kiss she had with Andre. Jarad is trying to keep his cool by talking to Starfire about the school.

Jarad: Look, Star. I admit that this campus is nice, and the sports program is decent. But I think I got a better college for you, and hear me out on this one. {He pulls out his phone and starts showing Starfire the photos of the new “school, which is actually his house.} Welcome to Higgins University!!! {He pulls up a picture of a Mac computer.} This is your classroom and homeroom. Don’t be late. {He pulls up a picture of the kitchen.} This is the cafeteria, serving three squares a day. {He pulls up another picture of his room.} This is the principal’s office for when you need something. {He pulls up one last photo of the backyard.} This. Oh, this. This is the baseball field for your sport, in which you rule!!!! Now that’s better than a dart shooting range and stinky boys, right?

Starfire: Dad, this is just our house, first of all. Second, I want to do in-person school and live on the campus. I did enough online school during the pandemic. Third, Andre is different. He’s not like any other stinky boy. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a date with him in one hour. I gotta go. {She kisses her Dad on the cheek.} Love you.

Jarad: {Losing his patience.} Love you too.

{Starfire leaves, leaving Jarad by himself as 734 by Juice Wrld starts playing in the background. Jason Firestone walks in and notices Jarad in his feelings.}

Jason: Jarad, you OK?

Jarad: Yeah, Jason. I’m good. I don’t know about in-person college for Star.

Jason: What are you so afraid of? College was the best time of our lives, and Starfire deserves that experience. Plus, how would you feel if, back in the day, you and Patrick had to drive all the way to a practice where you didn’t know where the venue might’ve been, and you were worried you were gonna be late?

Jarad: I know, Jason. But I’m terrified.

Jason: Listen. My parents were just like you when it came to college. But they remembered that I would be safe and healthy always. Here I am today. Just think about it, eh?

Jarad: OK. Thanks, Jason.

{Meanwhile, Kronos, Nostradamus, Cesar, and Charles are continuing to keep Patrick captive as

Real Shit by Juice Wrld and Benny Blanco plays in the background.}

Nostradamus: Hey, Football Boy!!! {He pulls out a McDonald’s meal.} I got you some food!

Patrick: Ooh. {He starts sniffing the bag.} A Big Mac, Large Fries, A Coke, A Apple Pie, and cookies?! That’s my pre-game meal! Give me! Could you give me the food?

Nostradamus: {Pulling out the food.} No. I’m going to eat this in front of you.

{Nostradamus starts eating the meal as Patrick looks in horror. Then, he gets knocked out by Cesar, holding a captive bolt.}

Nostradamus: What did you go and do that for?! I was having fun torturing him with this delicious meal!

Cesar: I’m going to install the A.I. chip into his brain now so that he can do our bidding for us.

Nostradamus: Good thinking, Cesar! Then, we do the rest of them.

{Patrick, now with the A.I. chip in him, wakes up.}

Charles: How do you feel?

Patrick: I feel powerful. Like I could win forty Superbowls!

Charles: Now, what’s your objective?

Patrick: Capture Jarad and his friends.

{Patrick walks out of the room, ready to do the task given.}

Nostradamus: By the way, has anyone seen Andre?

Charles: He’s on his date with Starfire.

Cesar: What do you expect from a poet?

{The two boys laugh. Meanwhile, Jason, Dark Wrld, and Jarad are sleeping as Patrick walks up to them and captures them, ready to take them to Nostradamus and Kronos. Will they make it out? Will Starfire find out the true colors of the university?

Stay tuned for the next scene. To be continued.}
