Will Suns Stay Flaming Hot?

Nets will test Phoenix.

The NBA features two of their most exciting teams facing off at 10:30 ET Tuesday tonight (telecast on TNT). The 16-12 Nets led by James Harden and Kyrie Irving will face off against the NBA’s hottest team right now, winning 9 of their last 10 games, the 17-9 Phoenix Suns. Led by Devin Booker and Chris Paul, the Suns have been catching fire lately and have turned out as one of the tough Western Conference’s top teams.

On the other end is the team that everyone has been talking about. They have the Big 3 of Harden, Durant, and Irving. Unfortunately, they will be without Kevin Durant for this game. They have had to face many issues this season with players missing games, especially Kevin Durant, who has already missed 10 of the nets 29 games this season. However, the Nets are coming off a win from the previous night against the Sacramento Kings, where James Harden and Kyrie Irving put up a combined 69 points and Irving had 40. The team broke the franchise record of 3’s in a game and almost passed up the NBA record, with Irving having 9 3’s.

The Phoenix Suns are coming off an amazing last three games. They have taken down the 76ers and the Bucks. Both are the top two teams of the Eastern Conference, and the Suns are coming off of a dominant win against the Magic.

This team started 8-8 looking for an identity after their moves in the offseason. Since that, they have been 9-1, and Booker has become the primary weapon while Chris Paul has been an incredible leader like always. Deandre Ayton has been a solid center for this hot team. But if we are talking about big men, the Brooklyn Nets have struggled to find their guy. Deandre Jordan has been alright, but the defense could shape up to be a problem. Lots of Nets fans have been open to chasing after Andre Drummond, which would be a great move for the team.

This should be a good one in Phoenix.

If the Nets can keep up on defense, hit their shots, and play like a team, this one should turn in their favor. But the Suns are a hard team to take down right now.

They are finally finding their roles as a team, and their chemistry and defense have been great. They have allowed an average of 103 points in their last 6 wins, which is outstanding, and they have also shown that they can win games even when their shots don’t always go down.

Last their game, they shot 32% for 3 point percentage and still won. The Suns are set to win this matchup, and they have the odds. However, this game could turn quickly if the nets catch fire. Seeing how they just played in Sacramento and knowing that Deandre Jordan will play, I will side with the Nets on this one. If they can play some defense and hit their shots, they can win this game.

But if Phoenix pulls this one out, I won’t be surprised. It’s hard to take them down right now, which will be a tough task for the Nets. This win could help the Nets prove their dominance even when Durant isn’t there.

But I think one of the main factors for this game will be Deandre Jordan.

If he can keep up with Deandre Ayton, the nets have this one in the bag. I could see one or maybe both Kyrie and Harden getting hot this game. They are coming off a game where they put up nearly 70 combined, and I think they will have enough in the tank to upset the Suns. The final score prediction is 129-121. Nets come out on top.

This should be a fun one in Phoenix as both teams strive for a clutch win.
