Brady’s ‘Greatest Pass’ Brings Gasps

Brady extends exploits from on the field to on the water.

Tom Brady holds many records in his awe-inspiring, twenty-season. career. He’s a seven-time Super Bowl champion, five-time Super Bowl MVP, has the most touchdowns in a single season, and is second behind Drew Brees for most passing yards. The list goes on.

Brady is a textbook quarterback, professional in approach and execution. He doesn’t dazzle fans and–believe it or not–has never thrown a Hail Mary pass. He rarely throws off-balance, and he hardly ever has spectators oohing and ahhing the way Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes do.

On the field, that is….

Last Wednesday, it was a different story–on the water and in a boat parade to celebrate winning the Super Bowl. Brady decided to throw the $50,000 Lombardi Trophy to teammate Cameron Bright who was in another boat.  With Brady’s daughter …yelling, “NO, DAD. NOOOO!” Bright (luckily) made the catch. Of course, the videos went viral as Brady, yet again, made a game-saving completion.

At the very least, we got to see the more human side of Tom Brady. But let’s try to keep the Lombardi Trophy in one piece.

The Lombardi Trophy is one of the highest honors in American Football. This year, The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, led by Tom Brady, got to take home this prestigious honor by defeating the 2020 recipients of the trophy, The Kansas City Chiefs, in Super Bowl 55. After the game, Brady and Co had a boat parade to celebrate, full of drinking and fun. But one party game was the rudest thing I’ve ever seen in my life: Yeet the trophy to the boat. (Here’s how to play: You take the Lombardi Trophy, and you throw it to the other boats before it lands into the water. Yeet means to throw.) That’s exactly what Brady did to the trophy. But now, the daughter of the Lombardi Trophy creator wants an apology for being rude to the trophy. I want to see Brady apologize as well. The Lombardi trophy took a lot of hard work to make. It shouldn’t be treated like that. No yeeting trophies!
