Brady. That’s Right. Tom Brady. Again….

,

“All you got do is beat a bunch of teams. Then beat ’em again a few more times, and then beat ’em once more. That’s football. Think you can do that? If so, you’re going to be great. (And he is. And this time, he went through Brees and Rodgers to get there.)

I just read some insane speculation saying that no one knows why Tom Brady left the Patriots. It’s because every year, all the neighborhood kids get together to hold a little pickup game competition known as the NFL. He spent twenty years beating AFC quarterbacks regularly. So when the NFC quarterbacks laughed that it wasn’t happening to them, he got frustrated because he thought they might be laughing at him.

And there were two pesky Hall of Fame quarterbacks hiding in NFC. Plus, he could only play them five times a year from the AFC, which meant they were getting out of it too easily. Four games during the season and one in the Super Bowl wasn’t enough proof for him. So he went to test himself by playing in the other conference.

It was like some guy at a county fair trying out his skills at carnival games. He might have said to his wife, ‘That other guy did it, so I’m going to try it’ (right after he watched him use that mallet to ring the bell at the top of that big tower.) She might have even thought about saying it’s getting late, but she saw the look in his eyes and said, “Ok, one more!”

NFC quarterbacks were laughing because the AFC quarterbacks couldn’t handle the G.O.A.T. He regularly traipsed his way through the NFL on the AFC side, setting record after record and winning division titles and Super Bowls. But he didn’t care.

When he heard them laughing, he joined the NFC as a pirate, a Buccaneer. Drew Brees tried to stop him. He went in as a Saint saying, ‘No! You can’t be a bully here!” Then, there was Aaron.

Rodgers, that is, who had beaten him once in 2014. Brady wasn’t going to let it go. He’s that competitive. “Oh no, Aaron, you don’t want to do that!” One loss to Rodgers never felt right. That’s why Brady joined the National Conference–to prove himself.

The Bucs got off to a slow start, but the mighty arms of this football giant then brushed them aside on his path to another Super Bowl. Brady excelled, just like a little kid in a backyard neighborhood game.

Now he has to meet up with one of those young NFL talents, namely, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs. Is he going to remind his old conference that just on the other side of the NFL is a man who hasn’t quite finished making his mark on football yet?

Do the Kansas City Chiefs shake with the awesome knowledge that they have a mighty battle on their hands?

And, seriously, people, this is one hell of a story! In the highly competitive game of football, Brady is making his tenth Super Bowl appearance. He is in the big game again! It’s like someone said to him, ‘It’s easy, Tom. All you got do is beat a bunch of teams. Then beat ’em again a few more times and then beat ’em once more.

That’s football, Tom. Think you can do that? If so, you’re going to be great.

He is. And this time, he went through Brees and Rodgers to get there.
