Tyson-Jones, Jr. … The Winner Is?

, , ,

Tyson and Jones, Jr. fought to a draw. But the way I see it ….

Saturday night, Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. faced off in a battle at Staples Center in Los Angeles. And the big storyline was Tyson’s return to the ring–15 years after he hung up his gloves. At 54 years old, would Tyson still have what it takes?

He did.

Both boxers came out swinging for most for eight rounds. Who won? Both or neither. Judges called it a draw.

But I think Tyson came out on top–and in more ways than one. Yes, I think he won the fight but, more than that, Tyson didn’t underestimate his physical ability. He was ready to fight, and fight he did.

Congratulations, Tyson and Jones Jr. To Mike: You are back, baby!
