Hundreds of Students Participate in Global Indian International School Virtual Open Chess Tournament

The Global Indian International School event attracted over 200 participants.


From Saturday’s tournament

Saturday, October 17: The event, which was limited to Singapore school students, attracted nearly 230 participants. It was conducted on GO CHECKMATE’S integrated platform with a time control for players of 15 mins + 5 seconds increment.

The tournament was played across age categories–Under 08, Under 09, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14, and parent categories. Youth played in five rounds, with parents playing in four. Trophies were awarded to the top three players in each category, with medals going to the next seven players.

Go Checkmate congratulates champions Haresh Venkata (Under 08), Kavin Kumar (Under 09), and Dhanesh Venkata (Under 14) for exemplary performances. Mr. Praveen Kumar (FI), Director of Go Checkmate, Mrs. Vidhyavarshni (NI), and Mr. Sasmit Chatterjee co-organized the event and congratulated the winners.
