Sunday’s competition drew praise.
On Sunday, Chess School Go Checkmate and Guna Chess Academy held the TLRDCA-GCCA Online Chess Tournament 2020. With players from Tiruvalluvar district participating, the tournament was jointly organised by Thiruvalluvar District Chess Association.
Boys and girls participated in four categories: Under 7, Under 9, Under 11, and Under 13, with students from the government school gaining free entry. The top five players (boys and girls) were awarded trophies with the next five finishers receiving medals.
The tournament was conducted using Go Checkmate’s Integrated Chess Platform. The time control for the tournament was 15 minutes with 5 second increment from the first move.
