Choi Suk-hyeon, Triathlete and Coaching Abuse Victim, Takes Own Life

, ,

Last week, triathlete Choi Suk-hyeon took her own life at age 22 after years of being sbused by coaches.

BBC reported that she lodged a number of complaints over the years, alleging abuse from her coaching staff. Her complaints were ignored, BBC reported.

Coaching abuse has no place in sports. When reported, it must be investigated. When found to be true, action must be taken.

RIP, Choi Suk-hyeon.
