#RIP21 is For the Late Sean Taylor, Not 21 Savage

One #21 is gone, the other is alive and well.

Sean Taylor was an NFL star with the Washington Redskins. Taylor, who wore #21, was murdered in his home by four men who were charged with burglary and first-degree murder.

This year, the NFL took to Twitter to pay homage to Taylor, but the league ran into an unexpected problem. The hashtag used, #RIP21, was interpreted by some as announcing the death of rapper 21 Savage.

That wasn’t NFL’s intent, of course. Savage is alive. Sean Taylor is no longer with us.

I dedicate this article to Sean Taylor’s memory. RIP Sean Taylor, #21.
