Songs to Tide You Over ‘Til the Olympics Begin

,

COVID-19 has postponed the Summer Olympics until next year. Until the games happen, check out 12 songs that are perfect for the Games!

1. No Auto-GQ DaSteppa: I have just three words to describe this song from my friend–“a huge hit.” It’s a perfect anthem for the Games, too.

2. Gummo-6ix9ine: The person behind this song may be bad, but the song isn’t. The beat/lyrics are perfect for pumping up for the Games.

3. Misery Business-Paramore: Machine Gun Kelly and Travis Barker included it in the promotion of their pop-punk album. Both the original version and the cover have a fast beat and guitar. Perfect for the Games!

4. LA to London-Lil Peep: This is a posthumous song from Peep’s Everybody’s Everything project. Perfect locations for future Games.

5. Riot-GoM: From another good friend of mine, this song is great for a mosh pit or the Olympics. It’s centered around a pot beat. GoM is on his way to stardom.

6. Suicidal-YNW Melly: While Melly could potentially be executed for murder, this song is full of hope and Olympic triumph.

7. The Eternal Atake album-Lil Uzi Vert: After years of waiting, we finally got Eternal Atake, and it’s perfect for the Olympics. From the soccer song, Futsal Shuffle, to the Backstreet Boys-sampled That Way, the entire album is spot on.

8. Find Him-Comethazine: The song may be too violent, but Comethazine knows what he’s doing when it comes to making good sports songs.

9. Hard-Tay-K and Blocboy JB: This is my favorite rap songy. Produced by No Jumper, Tay & JB made an amazing hit that’s perfect for the Olympics or any sporting event, for that matter.

10. What Happened-Hella Sketchy: Another posthumous spot goes to Hella Sketchy. This song is slow-paced, perfect for some Olympic events.

11. Crazy Train-Ozzy Osbourne: This is a great song with a perfect fit for sports. Well done, Ozzy!

12. Dirty Diana-Michael Jackson: I grew up listening to this song. My mom would play it while driving. With a funky feel, it’s a good sports song.

I dedicate this to my mom, Monika Keiper Reinsch, who has been diagnosed with COVID-19. She also has Lyme Disease. I hope and pray she doesn’t pass away. I can’t stress enough to practice social distancing. Wash your hands. Don’t go out unless necessary. We don’t want this pandemic to get any worse than it is. Stay safe! Be positive!
