The District Level Chess Championship was held in memory of the 72nd Birthday of the Late Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, J. Jayalalitha.
Mithun prevails in Vellore.
The event was jointly organized by AIADMK IT Wing, Vellore West, and Bharathi Chess Academy. The tournament was held at Bharat Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vellore.
The tournament was inaugurated by AIADMK District Treasurer, Mr. Moorthy. It was conducted in the presence of Vellore West Area Secretary, Mr.Nagarajan; Head of District Information Technology Division, Mr.V.L.Rajan; Treasurer Mr. Nithyanandam; Vellore District Chess Association president, Mr.Dinakaran; Senior Arbiter Mr. G.P.C.Prakash, and other officials.
Over 100 players participated in the tournament.
