‘Football Potential,’ An Original Screenplay (Final Scene, Five)

,

We open the finale of Football Potential with Geykume and Coach Zayn on their way to discuss Geykume’s future with the Patriots. Boris and Andrew–intent to gun down Geykume in a revenge act–are close behind on a motorcycle.

Andrew: {Annoyed.} “Where did you learn to drive a motorcycle this fast?”

Boris: “Akira! I also learned a few karate moves from that film. I’ll send you the YouTube link.”

Andrew: “Show me cheesy anime films later! Right now, we need to focus on our target. Word on the street is that Geykume is on his way to Fish Fred’s Fish Fry for lunch with his coach to discuss his future with The New England Patriots. So most likely, there will be a whole bunch of fans and security there. So here’s my plan: We sneak by security while Geykume is getting into the restaurant, we block his path, and then we shoot him dead, right then and there.”

Boris: “He’ll know what it felt like to get a letter from the FBI!”

Andrew: “Oh, they’ll all know!”

{Boris and Andrew laugh maniacally and speed up on their bike to Fish Fred’s Fish Fry.

Geykume and Coach Zayn are greeted by the namesake of the restaurant, Fish Fred.

Stormi is pregnant with Geykume’s kid.}

Fish Fred: {Excited.} “Ah! If it isn’t ‘The Effect’ himself! How does it feel to be one of the biggest names in football?”

Geykume: “It feels good, Fred. I also have a queen beside me.”

Stormi: “Plus a prince or princess due in 8 months!”

Geykume: “Yes! And I’ll be the best father I can be!”

Stormi: “By the way, do you think Andrew and Boris are still mad about … well … you know?”

Geykume: “I’m sure they’ve forgotten by now. Now, Fish Fred, give us your best seats, please!”

Fish Fred: “Right this way!”

{Meanwhile, Boris and Andrew are hiding in the bushes with Glock’s in hand.}

Boris:Now?!

Andrew: Yes, now! Go! Go! Go!”

{Boris and Andrew leap out of the bushes and run to the entrance, just as they planned.

Geykume and his entourage are about to enter.

They point their guns at Geykume.}

Andrew: “I believe someone owes us an apology.”

Geykume: {Shocked.} “Andrew?! Boris?!”

Boris: {Noticing Stormi.} “Well, well, if it isn’t my ex! I hope you had fun with this snitch in the last three years.”

Stormi: “What are you guys doing?!”

Geykume: “Are you still mad I told on you to the FBI?! You guys were leading a criminal organization that did drugs and abused women. A member got life. If I made you upset, I’m sorry! Now, let me us into the restaurant so that we can enjoy dinner and have a good laugh about what happened.”

Fish Fred: {Equally shocked.} “Yeah! Let them in! You’re killing my mood right now!

Zayn: “Guys! Geykume had to save you from harming more athletes. Let my star in the restaurant, please?

Andrew: {Mad.} “No! Geykume, you’re going to get what you deserve! All of you are! Our lives were ruined!”

{Andrew pulls out his Glock.}

Andrew: “It felt like this!

{Suicidal by Desiigner and Diplo plays as Andrew shoots Geykume.

Geykume, drenched in blood, falls immediately to the ground.

Coach Zayn looks at Geykume, and then stares at the two assassins.}

Zayn: {Mad.} “How dare you?!”

{Zayn chases Boris and Andrew out of the restaurant, trying to catch them.

Boris then pulls out his Glock and points it at Coach Zayn, causing him to run away.

Meanwhile, Geykume is on the floor bleeding.

He cries out while clenching Coach Zayn, who had just returned from chasing Andrew and Boris.}

Geykume: {Crying.} “I don’t want to go! Please, please, Coach! Don’t let me go!”

Zayn: {In denial.} “This isn’t happening!!! This isn’t happening!!!”

Stormi: {Crying.} “Geykume!

Geykume: {Whispering.} “Please live on for our child. I’m sorry!”

{Geykume dies.

A time card pops up, reading ‘Three weeks Later.’

Boris and Andrew are in the courtroom being sentenced for murder.}

Judge: {Angry.} “You two committed a crime like something out of Grand Theft Auto. The pain you two have caused! You’re menaces to society, and I’m sentencing you to life terms without the possibility of parole!”

{Hope For The Underrated Youth by Yungblud plays as memorials are shown for murdered athletes

and other young sports starts who’ve died prematurely.

Words pop up reading, ‘Where would people like Geykume be if they hadn’t been wrongfully killed?!’

Would some be professional athletes?!

Would they be coaching?

Starting a new sport?

We may never know if we don’t have peace in sports ASAP.

New programs are needed to change sports for the better.

As the credits roll, Paul Anka’s cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit plays.

After the credits finish, we see Andrew and Boris in their cell with a smuggled phone, trying to make calls.}

Boris: {Mad.} “Great! This thing won’t work!”

Andrew: {Equally mad.} “Boris, you should’ve shot every one of them!”

{A cop walks by.}

Cop: {looking at the phone} “Hey!” That’s contraband!”

{Gunshots ring out. The screen fades. The film ends.}
