Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst Directed a Sports Biopic

Durst tried his hand at directing.

Rapper Fred Durst is well known as the leader of the sensational rap-rock group, Limp Bizkit. The group has recorded hit albums, like Chocolate Starfish and Hot Dog Flavored Water.

Durst has also earned acclaim from John Travolta for his film directing–a sports flick, in particular, The Longshots. The film is based on a real-life story–about the first female to participate in Pop Warner ball, Jasmine Plummer. Rapper Ice Cube and actress Keke Palmer appear in starring roles.

While the film didn’t go well with reviewers (Rotten Tomatoes rating, 41 percent), Durst should be applauded for bringing Plummer’s story into the spotlight.
