Chelsea Banks on Hazard’s Form for Top Four Finish

Eden Hazard is Chelsea’s hope.

With only a few fixtures before the Premier League wraps up, every manager vying for a top-four finish has been looking for inspiration–from players who can put their team on their shoulders. And for Chelsea, that player is none other than Eden Hazard.

If ever Maurizio Sarri’s side is going to finish in the top four, then they need Hazard to be in the form of his life–just like he was Monday night against West Ham at Stamford Bridge. Hazard’s stellar performance ensured that Chelsea will go into the third position in the league standings. Not since December has the team achieved such lofty placement.

Chelsea only has five games left to fight off Tottenham and Arsenal (adrift by 2 points, and 3 points, respectively, each team with a game in hand). Tottenham will be looking for inspiration from Christian Eriksen, Delle Ali, Erik Lamela, Heung-Min Son, and Harry Kane. Arsenal will be looking to Pierre Emerick Aubameyang, Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette, and Aaron Ramsey.

Unlike Arsenal and Spurs, Chelsea only have one player–Hazard–to look to in times of need. For Chelsea, Hazard has to work his magic.
