It’s Back To The Zoo For ALCS Game 3

This young Yankees team is actually fool-hardy enough to believe that it can get out of any hole, no matter how big it may be.

The NY Yankees have done more then anyone could have expected. After all, it was a “rebuilding year.” But after advancing to the American League Championship Series (ALCS), this team finds itself in familiar waters.

Verlander showed that he has juice left in that arm, and now NY finds itself down 2-0 to Houston and its host of ‘Old Yankees” (looking at you, Beltran and McCann)

For some strange reason, Yankees fans don’t seem to be worried. Perhaps it’s because they have unwavering faith in their team. Maybe it’s because they think the young bats will come to life. And it could be because C.C’s veteran leadership always comes through in turning-point games.

No matter the reason, New York is abuzz with anticipation, hoping that the next big comeback is in the making.

The craziest thing is that the Yankees actually have the potential to do it. Judge is due and Didi is waiting to pull a homer over the wall.

It’s all part of that ‘new feeling’ in the Bronx–a feeling that has gone unfelt since Jeter and company retired. This young Yankee team believes in each other and fans believe in their team. That kind of thinking leads to big possibilities. And what’s even more exciting is this: the young Yankees are actually fool-hardy enough to believe that they can get out of any hole, no matter how big it may be.

Homegrown talent, like Brett Gardner, must take the lead going forward. The rest of the Yankee naturals will follow. These baby bombers aren’t fully grown, but they sure do give off that proud parent feeling when they exceed expectations.

Tonight’s Game Three’s matchup should be fun.
