A Glimpse of the AL East Champs

It seems like the Baltimore Orioles were hitting a major break through these past couple seasons with Buck Showalter as their manager; this season is quite different. The Orioles have had several players on and off DL. They seem like they can not catch a break with changing players and especially with pitcher Brian Mastusz suspended for a couple of games.

Last night, we saw a little bit of our AL East Champs. Chris Davis hit a homerun that tied the game 1-1. That was his fourth homerun in just three days. Davis was actually the hitter who helped the Orioles get a man on third base to win the game. Thanks to JJ Hardy who has been on and off the DL won the game with a single to left field. For the next couple of games, it is hard to make a decision to see where one of Baltimore’s favorite pitches, Bud Norris, will come back any time soon. Buck does not seem like he is too worried about it. He just wants his men healthy. After beating the Tampa Bay Rays last night by just one run, the Orioles seem like they are finally getting back on their feet. The Orioles are now 23-24 making them 3rd in the AL Eastern Division. That was Buck Showalter’s 400th win as the manager for the Baltimore Orioles. I think we can see more than just a couple more wins from Mr. Showalter.
