Growing Number Of Academies and Clubs Signal Football Growth In The Philippines

Recent entrance of F.C Burnbridge is a positive development.

The growth of football in the Philippines can be measured by the growing number of private academies and football clubs in the country. That’s the takeaway I had after talking with representatives of F.C Burnbridge Philippines.

F.C Burnbridge was established in Johannesburg, South Africa in 2007 under SAFA. In 2016, the club started its football training program in Makati, Philippines. The training philosophy is based on what’ called “Primavera Football.”

“Our development pyramid starts with U7 up to U19. However, with us already registered in the upcoming 7 aside league, the prospect of joining 9 aside for Veterans and WFL means players of all ages can be part of the club,” F.C Burnbridge said.

What sets F.C Burnbridge apart is the training philosophy and being a traveling team, where all players who are interested in international tournaments and football trials abroad can register.
