Florida State Football Makes Facility Upgrades

Championship wall entranceTALLAHASSEE, Fl.— Florida State has recently unveiled the $4.2 million renovation of its football facility.
The school’s football program is home to the reigning national champions. FSU aimed to make the facility as stellar as the team itself.  The new design pays tribute to the greats of the past and present in an effort to spike morale and to help with recruitment.
Seminole wall helmetThe Seminoles’ program has produced some of college and pro football’s finest players from Deion Sanders to Jameis Winston. The upgraded facility, designed by Advent, Nashville-based firm that has designed many of the country’s best athletic facilities, including USC’s McKay Center, now reflects those achievements.
Championships ringsThe renovations include a new locker room, lounge area, and corridors that lead to the Doak Campbell Stadium field. Every locker comes with an iPad that will be used for game film review.  The walls feature Florida State jerseys, rings, trophies — including the Heisman ‑- and memorable photos, all of which underscore the football program’s prowess.
NFL pros wall“You see the rings, you see the national championships, the Heisman trophies, the great players in the NFL and the great men we have developed. And it sends a message to your players that we are demanding from you but we are demanding from everyone,” FSU coach Jimbo Fisher says. “Excellence is expected, and being elite is just the way of Florida State.”
