Minnesota beat Las Vegas 92–87 on Saturday, moving to 29–7 and taking the season series 2–1. We may see those teams play for the ’26 WNBA Championship.

Olivia Miles Continues to Look Like the MVP: Miles finished with 23 points and 8 assists, giving Minnesota another creator who can take over offensively alongside Napheesa Collier. This was especially important against an Aces team built to make Collier work.

Minnesota Won the Third Quarter: After trailing 48–48 at halftime, the Lynx came out and outscored Vegas 26–16 in the third. An 8–0 run helped Minnesota establish a 10-point advantage, and they never surrendered the lead afterward.

Napheesa Collier Remains the Engine of this Well-oiled Machine: Collier scored 19 points, but her biggest impact was helping Minnesota stay composed when the Aces made late pushes. She and Courtney Williams combined to knock down crucial free throws in the final minute.

“Not if A’ja Wilson Has Something to Say About It!”: Wilson was phenomenal with 32 points and 7 rebounds, including 19 points in the first half. Minnesota didn’t shut her down; they found a way to survive her dominance and still win. That’s an encouraging sign for a potential playoff matchup.

This is Starting to Feel Like It’s Minnesota’s Year: The Lynx are now 29–7, have beaten Vegas twice in their last three meetings, and have a 15–2 road record. Winning a close game against an elite Aces team without needing a huge scoring night from Collier shows how deep and versatile this team is.
