Who Should Timothée Chalamet Play in “Knicks, The Miniseries”?

Ben Stiller is doing a Knicks documentary, and Josh Safdie just shot a Nike commercial with a Knicks theme. It’s only a matter of time before there’s a Knicks miniseries or movie, even though Winning Time, the miniseries on the Los Angeles, didn’t kill it and was cancelled after two seasons.

So, on the topic of a Knicks miniseries or movie, I think it would be fitting for Knicks superfan Timothée Chalamet to have a role in such a project.

Here are three individuals he could play. In truth, Chalamet has the chops to play all three. And if you’re wondering about who Spike Lee would play? He should play, well, himself. Who else?

THIRD CHOICE: Pat Riley. Timothee is 5-10, and Riles is 6-4, so this is a long shot, but I’d like to see Chalamet take a stab. Adrien Brody portrayed him in Winning Time.

SECOND CHOICE: Jeff Van Gundy. They’re in line physically, but is there enough meat in this role? Quite memorably, Van Gundy got into the middle of a Knicks-Heat melee and wound up on the hardwood with a shiner.

FIRST CHOICE: Rick Pitino. This is probably the best fit. Pitino has had quite the colorful career. In fact, he’s worthy of his own mini-series.

What do you say, Timothée?
