Two years ago, Netflix’s Tom Brady roast ruled streaming – deservedly. With a few exceptions, it was hilarious. Everyone gave the middle finger to sensitivity and let insults fly. What would Netflix do for an encore?
Well, in less than two weeks (May 10), Netflix will roast Kevin Hart, who hosted the Brady roast. I’m expecting it to be fun, but not nearly as entertaining as the Brady affair. Here are five reasons why.

ONE: The Brady roast comics were great, but they were supposed to be. The athletes, including Gronk, Julian Edelman, Drew Bledsoe, and Randy Moss, to name just a few, were just as awesome. Those guys were absolutely wonderful at ragging on one another, and their delivery was on point, too. It was Hard Knocks for real.
TWO: Brady provided great material for the roasters, from his over-manufactured appearance to his ex-supermodel wife and her beau, the Jiu-Jitsu instructor. Brady forced a smile for all of it … with one exception … Jeff Ross’s barb about Patriots’ owner Robert Kraft.
THREE: There was legitimate tension in the room, especially awkward when Hart brought Kraft and former Pats coach Bill Belichick together for a shot.
FOUR: Nikki Glaser brought the house down with her take on Gronk and her imitation of him. Sadly, she’ll be a no-show for Kevin.
FIVE: Hart was masterful as the Brady roast MC. But he’ll be the target this time, and that means he’ll have to take a backseat. Personally, I’d rather have him at the wheel.
