The Kansas City Chiefs just came off a disappointing 6-11 season. What does the franchise need to do to get back to championship level?
Two priorities come to mind immediately — giving Patrick Mahomes reliable targets and edge rushers to disrupt opposing quarterbacks.
So, in my opinion, KC should target a WR with their first pick (9th overall), a player like Makai Lemon (USC), Carnell Tate (Ohio State), or Jordyn Tyson (Arizona State).
With the 23rd selection, I recommend drafting an edge rusher like Reuben Bain Jr. (Miami) or David Bailey (Texas Tech). The Chiefs would most likely have to trade picks to get either of those options. If they don’t, then realistic options are Malachi Lawrence (UCF) or Akheem Mesidor (Miami).
