Jahmyr Gibbs played like he was in a video game, rushing for 219 yards on 15 carries, scoring two touchdowns on the ground and a third through the air. It felt like something big was going to happen every time he touched the ball.
Gibbs’ most significant moment came in overtime. He broke loose for a 69-yard touchdown run on his very first carry, and that score won the game.

Before that big play, the Lions and Giants kept going back and forth. The Lions’ defense struggled at times, especially against short passes, which kept the Giants close. Detroit’s offense had some sloppy moments, too, including drives that stalled and resulted in field goals rather than TDs.
The game was tied in the fourth quarter, and you just felt that a big play would decide the outcome. That’s what made Gibbs’ overtime run so crazy.
By the end, Gibbs had amassed 264 total yards and three touchdowns, and it felt like he had singlehandedly dragged his Lions to the win.
