A young lady has been making the rounds on social media, hanging out with NBA and WNBA players. She is known as “Superfan Vivian.” From Benton, Arkansas, how did she become the social media sensation she is today?

One of her favorite NBA teams is the Memphis Grizzlies, and she is a big fan of Jaren Jackson Jr. Her social media accounts include TikTok, Instagram, and X.
It all started pretty simply when Vivian’s parents had floor-side seats to the Grizzlies’ games. In the warm-up, she would throw the ball to Grizzlies players and to her favorite, Jaren Jackson Jr. It became so popular that Jackson Jr. started a pre-game ritual of throwing the ball to her.
From Jackson, Jr., she caught the eyes of NBA and WNBA fans, particularly when she dances and interviews the players. That led to many followers and her account going viral. Vivian’s popularity earned her opportunities to interview coaches, players, and front office staff at WNBA media days. She was also invited to attend events such as the WNBA All-Star Weekend.
Several of the players she has interviewed include Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, Lexie Hall, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink. She has also given the players gifts, such as friendship bracelets.
Could we see a future color commentator for the WNBA or possibly a future player? Only time will tell.
