The NBA Finals were boring, with low ratings and a lack of star power. Really?

Tyrese! (photo courtesy NY Post)
Causal fans, I’d say. Yes, the teams were small-market franchises, and the ratings (except for Game 7) were among the lowest this century. But the Pacers’ Tyrese Haliburton is a rising star, and Sam Presti re-crafted OKC, led by SGA, the league’s MVP.
In addition to those names, Alex Caruso and T.J. McConnell made big-time plays, and veterans Siakam and Hartenstein played very well.
Plus, for the first time in nine years, we got to see a Game 7. It was not a given going into that game that the homestanding Thunder had the game in the bag — until Haliburton went down to injury.
Rather than focus on what the Final series lacked, this NBA fan has plenty to talk about. I’ll even go so far as to say it may be a long time before we have another Finals like it.

This is so cool!
Agreed.
