From early-season warmups to the epic Grand Tours and the season’s closing classics, the 2025 cycling calendar delivered a thrilling journey for fans and riders alike.

The 2025 men’s elite cycling season was a year packed with thrilling races and unforgettable moments.

The action began in January with the Tour Down Under in Australia. Early races, such as the Gran Premio Castellón and the Trofeo Calvià, offered the first opportunity for riders to test their form after the winter break.

As February and March unfolded, the calendar heats up with major WorldTour events and iconic spring classics. The UAE Tour brought high-speed desert racing, while Strade Bianche and Paris–Roubaix challenged riders on historic roads and rugged cobblestones. These races revealed the early favorites for the season ahead.

May and June marked the arrival of the first Grand Tour of the year, the Giro d’Italia. The three-week spectacle through Italy combined breathtaking mountain stages with tactical racing. Soon after, the Critérium du Dauphiné and the Tour de Suisse provided crucial preparation for the summer’s biggest event.

July was all about the Tour de France, cycling’s grandest stage. The world’s best riders battleed across France, from the Alps to the Pyrenees, in pursuit of the yellow jersey. Once the Tour concluded, attention shifted to late-season races that keep the excitement alive until the end of October.

This year also featured a historic milestone: the first-ever UCI Road World Championships were held in Africa, hosted by Rwanda. The September race marked a new chapter in the sport’s global growth.
