Big Game, Week 2: Georgia at Notre Dame

It’s redemption Saturday for one of these teams.

Both teams had impressive Week 1 wins. With a win tonight one of these teams will make a huge non-conference statement. That’s because both programs have underachieved over the past few years, and this game provides an opportunity to get a new lease on football life–on the national stage, no less.

Georgia enters the game with a freshman QB after the starter went down with an injury last week. Notre Dame, on the other hand, dominated a Temple team–a squad that seemed to be a shell of what it was last year, mostly because of graduation losses. The Irish ran for almost 500 yards last week, which is a solid performance no matter who you’re playing.

I feel this will be a tight game that should go down to the wire. I’ll take the Irish at home on a late field goal, 30-27.
