Genesis Aaron Elefan Earns Himself A Promotion After The AFC Championship

After the Philippines U15 team’s recent success in the AFC Championship, it is now time to see how the PFF will handle these young players, and prepare them for the future.

After the Philippines U15 team returned home from Thailand–finishing fifth in the AFC championship–I wrote that it takes patience to succeed in football, and that the boys will have to learn from the experience and build toward the future.

I also asked: what’s next for them as they have returned home?

As a scout, I keep track of top young football talents that I know of through their social media.

And today, Aaron Genesis further answered my question of what is next for the U15 boys with a post on his Facebook. He revealed that his prolific goal scoring son–who was among the U15 group that went to Thailand for the AFC Championship–has been invited to the Philippines U16 National team by the Philippines Football Federation, as they prepare for Myanmar in September 2017.

“Preparing with Philippines U16 National Football Team going to Myanmar. Congrats Genesis Aaron Elefan. Keep it up, son,” he wrote.

The tournament in Myanmar will be Aaron’s third international tournament in Asia, and with the Philippine National teams.

What is important here is not that Aarons has been called up, it is the fact that the PFF is keeping track of talented young football players with recognized abilities.

Having young players progress through the National team ranks is always a great thing for every football nation that is building for the future.

With a top young striker like Aaron, and others on the PFF radar going through the ranks, the future of the Philippines National team (Azkals) is surely bright!
