Storyline: The revamped Titans’ facility motivates NFL players to greatness.

‘Amazing.’ ‘Exiting.’ ‘Dope.’  Those are just a few of the reactions from Tennessee Titans players in response to their totally revamped facilities, which debuted this month following a six-week overhaul.

The design was created by Nashville-based Advent, one of the country’s leading branding and design firms for athletic facilities.

The new design has transformed player areas into inspirational spaces. The new locker room was created by knocking down barrier walls to give players an opportunity to connect with one another.

And the space honors each player with a Hollywood-worthy treatment by name and number. Walls and columns push players towards excellence with words like DOMINATE, DISCIPLINE, TOUGH and FINISH.

Motivational quotes–“Do something every day that will move us to move us closer to a world championship “ and “Work uphill all week so you can play downhill on Sundays”–are splashed across the facility. The weight room is emblazoned with can-do inspirations (e.g., “Hard Work Wins!”), a design intended to pump-up determination of players who dedicate hours to the gym.

Titans’ coach Mike Mularkey is committed to bringing a new energy to the Saint Thomas Sports Park, which was built in 1999. “This is what a winning organization looks like,” says linebacker Brian Orakpo.

The revamped facility not only reflects the history of the Titans with features like the Vince Lombardi Trophy. It also represents a new and energized era with backlit images of current players, like Orakpo, who has been given a two-wall space that highlights the strength of his game.

The new facility is a “Music City Miracle,” indeed.
