What Chicago Bulls Need To Do This Off-Season

Storyline: What do the Chicago Bulls need to do to set things right? Here’s what I think. Written by Peyton Hook, Galesburg, IL

Let’s face it, the Bulls are done this year. There are good reasons, too. Joakim Noah was out for most of the season. D-Rose dealt with injuries repeatedly. Jimmy Butler was out for a good 4 weeks. Nikola Mirotic and Pau Gasol missed time. Even E’Twaun Moore was out for a bit. This season hasn’t been up to Bulls’ standards.

Let’s talk about what the Bulls need to do this offseason.

Get a New Coach – I think we have seen enough of Fred Hoiberg. Don’t you? When the Bulls got rid of Tom Thibodeau I knew the Bulls would struggle. While Hoiberg doesn’t have the best players, they are the players Thibs had. Hoiberg removed Joakim Noah from the starting lineup, replacing him with Nikola Mirotic and Taj Gibson. Those were ridiculous moves. Hoiberg, Jimmy Butler, and Pau Gasol are like a “squad” or something. You always see Butler and Gasol working together, but they don’t help anybody else. These three have ruined the Bulls. Let’s be honest.

Bring Back Several of the 2010-2011 Players – For starters the Bulls could bring back Carlos Boozer. He’s like Pau Gasol except he passes the ball more, is a better defender, and brings more energy to the team. Next the Bulls could get Kyle Korver from the Hawks. I say trade Doug McDermott for Korver. McDermott is a ball hog, honestly. Third, try to get Luol Deng. You may think I’m crazy for wanting Deng back, but he brought a lot of energy and has a great relationship with Rose, Noah, and Gibson. That would work perfectly. So get rid of Gasol, McDermott, and Mirotic. Bring back Boozer, Korver, and Deng. This could be an answer to Bulls’ woes.

Quit Running the Offense Through Jimmy Butler – Rose is so much better than Butler. Did you know that the Bulls have a better record without Butler when Rose plays? When Rose doesn’t play, the Bulls aren’t as good. Butler is a distraction for the Bulls — as are McDermott and Gasol. Let Rose lead this team again. He’ll be MVP next year. Mark my words.

Re-sign Joakim Noah, the Heart and Soul of the Bulls – When Rose was out a couple of seasons ago (2013-2014), Noah led the team to the playoffs and finished 4th in MVP voting. What have the Bulls done this year without Noah? Hoiberg doesn’t care for Noah. Bulls, please bring Jo back next season!

To summarize

Noah is the answer, bring him back.

Get rid of Gasol.

Let Rose run the offense – not Butler.

Return Noah to the starting lineup.

Get rid of McDermott, Mirotic, and Hoiberg.

Bring back Deng, Korver, and Thibs.

Do all of these thing and the Bulls will do well again.

Trust me.
