Kevin Durant and Scott Brooks, Together Again?

, ,

Storyline: You’d think that soon-to-be-free-agent, Kevin Durant, would want to play for Scott Brooks, who’s a proven winner.

The NBA regular season has come to an end. Now is the time that teams have begun firing coaches and searching for new ones. There are a lot of hot commodities out there and one of them is former Oklahoma City Thunder Head Coach, Scott Brooks. Brooks is a coach who could win right away due to his success with the Thunder.

And a man who once played under Brooks is set to become a free agent. The one and only Kevin Durant will enter free agency this summer. That could have a huge effect on where his former coach lands.

Kevin Durant has reportedly endorsed his former coach and has high praise for him. Teams like the Knicks, Wizards, and possibly Rockets could use Brooks to recruit Durant. While K.D has not publicly voiced intentions to play for Brooks, there have been rumors that K.D would like to play for his former coach. After all, Brooks did take K.D to the NBA finals back in ’12.

You’d think that Durant, a superstar who hasn’t won a championship yet, would want to play for somebody who’s a proven winner. Durant and Brooks could turn a team that’s on the outside of the playoff picture to, at worst, a playoff contender.

This is an on-going situation, certainly something to watch over the next few weeks!
