The Owls have gone on a tirade this season, losing only to Notre Dame and UCF so far. They’re the most successful athletic team in the city.

The offense is led by Junior QB, P.J. Walker, who has thrown for 2290 yards and 17 TDs. Walker’s main targets are Sr. WR, Robby Anderson, and Fr. WR, Vantell Bryant. The two have combined for 1,180 yards and 9 TDs. The primary RB, Jr. Jahad Thomas–a huge part of the Owl offense–has run for 1,069 yards and 13 TDs.

The D is getting the job done. Senior LB Tyler Matakevich leads the team in tackles (107) and has 5 interceptions. Senior LB Nate D. Smith leads the team in sacks (7.5). The kicking game is stellar, too. So. kicker Austin Jones is 40-41 in Extra Points and 16-21 in field goals, for a total of 88 points.

All of those performances explain why the Owls are on a huge uptick–from 2-10 in ’13, to 6-6 in ’14, to 9-2 this year with one game remaining. They are on top in the American Athletic Conference East Division.

The team brings life to Lincoln Financial Field! Hear that, Chip Kelly? Fans fuel the team every week, becoming the Temple “12th man.”

Fight, fight, fight for the Cherry and the White!
