A charming air of vigor and vitality,
An irrefutable genius and generosity,
A soul emblazoned by modesty,
Of graciousness and humility.

From, an ignominious zeal,
Aka, me and myself, an eel.

Dear Anil Kumble, thou art a standing proof of good,
For you, prevailed against the relentless attacks of wood,
Tolerating the petty minds of iniquity,
Those shriveled hearts of delinquency
Never barking up the wrong tree.

Thine is an heart, journeying towards eternity,
Humble enough to embrace the hurt, and tidy.

Thy mobility deployed with gallantry and valor,
In the Caribbean and on many an hostile pitch with fervor,
In crossing many an ordeal of fire and water,
Enunciates volumes about your unfading color.

Dear Anil Kumble,

Thou hast enlightened us, morals,
On the flight of your thoughts,
Rocketing with rejoice, free of any bars and weights,
Fazing and unsettling to put you indoors.

I, in all my true-self, posses desire,
An unwavering hope, my dear bowler,
Not for any suffering you’ve been through a sting,
But, because of that very thing,
That which made you something,
Strong and brave,
Tender and suave.

Thine is the courage of the rider,
Thrown into the dirt and shabby water,
Towing off yourself, all for a better-self.
Thine is a tenderness so benevolent,
For those appreciating pain and vent,
Art only blessed to showcase to the wounded and bent.

I, expect and foresee,
You opened to ideas any,
Questioning and reevaluating,
With patience and abrupt perceiving.

Dear Anil Kumble,

Life’s brick walls are not meant,
For keeping us (Indian Cricket) at bay in an unknown tent,
But, are all but to proffer us an opportunity and show,
How badly do we deserve something and owe.

We, as an aficionado and as a nation looked for you in hope,
When our lives were out of the frying pan and going down  a shabby slope,
But, thou as a man of matchless modesty and refinement,
Betokening an humble character, made Indian Cricket triumphant.

May your life’s stream and passion
Flow across many an unknown ocean.
May we be touched by your beauty,
And ever enriching heart in sanity.

I pray all for the emerald richness,
Thou, thy life and thy soul deserves.
